Increase in Discernment

Father,

I want to thank you simply for being who you are. I’m sorry for anything I have ever said, thought, or have done, that was not pleasing to you. Help me to make better choices in the future. Father, I come to you today asking for an increase in discernment. Help me to recognize what is of you and what is not. Father guard me from the deceptive schemes of the enemy by giving me the eyes to see, ears to hear, and wisdom to understand things I was originally blinded to before accepting your son Jesus Christ into my heart. Help me to distinguish between the truth and the lie. Help me be susceptible to your warnings. And with such knowledge, give me the courage to turn my back on that which your Holy Spirit has urged me to.
