2 Corinthians 7:14

2 Corinthians 7:14

“If my people, who are called by my name, will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and I will forgive their sin and will heal their land.”

Prayer and repentance changes things, but to get to that point one must walk in true humility. True humility is recognizing that you can’t do this thing called life on your own, nor could you succeed without living a life worthy of the call on your life. 2 Corinthians 7:14 highlights the importance of possessing a humility that leads to both prayer and repentance. It indicates that if one chooses to live a life contrary to the word of God, forgiveness and abundance will not be their portion.

Being humble enough to realize that you’re indeed a sinner that needs forgiveness is one thing, but feeling too shameful to face the Lord because of your sin is another. That would be considered one of the tricks of the enemy. See he wants to see you get so lost in your wicked ways that you wish to hide your face from God out of shame. But I want to you to know that it doesn’t matter how far you’ve gone even if it was to a point where you’ve had to experience God’s wrath, if you repent and turn from your ways you like anyone else will be forgiven. Read the book of Joel, and see how God restores after the repentance of His people.
