The Other Side
Hear me when I say this, the grass is indeed greener on the other side. The other side of depression, anxiety, insecurity, brokenheartedness, pain, etc. The grass shines so bright on the other side because it was prepared specifically for you by Christ. He’s waiting for you to pick up your mat and accept the healing/restoration He has in store for those that love Him and keep His commandments. Pick up your mat and journey with Him as He leads you to the other side.
Today, I glanced back at where I’d come from, and God gave me clarity regarding one of the most heartbreaking, yet pivotal moments in my life. All I could do was laugh, I said to God that the attack was successful, it broke me, then I laughed again, and I said, but it was all for my good. See, the enemy’s plan was to break me, but what he didn’t know is that it was also God’s plan for me to be broken. That heartbreak led me right to Christ, and almost instantly, I felt the Lord take the burden away. When God says all things will work together for the good of those who love Him, BELIEVE HIM! He truly is not a human that He shall lie.
Here’s a word of advice for you today, look up…there’s a little light at the end of your dark tunnel. The enemy wants you to miss it, he wants you to believe that your faith in God is misplaced, but God sent me here to tell you today, to LOOK UP!
Today, I thank God that I’ve arrived at a place in life where I understand the reason for desolate seasons. Thinking back, I realize that most of my wounds were self-inflicted due to my lack of obedience, and I thank God even more because He kept me. That was the enemy’s best chance to take me out, and the Lord chose to use the opportunity to transform me.
Right now if you’re in the midst of a storm, don’t pray that the Lord take you out, pray that He equips you for the wind and rain, pray that the Lord highlights to you what you’re meant to learn throughout the process, and pray that you come out wiser and stronger than ever. I’ve learned that storms are allowed ultimately for our transformation. Without trials and tribulations, how will we experience true growth? Without a need to have faith, how will we learn true faithfulness? See, 2 years ago I prayed to God for a faith like no other that would live on for generations after I’m gone, so God put me in seasons where I could only lean and depend on Him.
I know it doesn’t feel good right now, I’m so sorry, I understand where you are because I’ve been there. You are tired and sometimes confused, but remember in the midst of the unknown, God is all-knowing, and is in full control of your situation. Today, all I ask is that you look up, see how far you’ve come, and have faith in how close you must be to your destination. Stay submitted to Christ, remain obedient right where you are, keep fighting, keep praying, the Lord will do what He says He will. I’m already a living testimony and I haven’t even arrived yet.
When the time is right, God will calm the storm brewing in your life.
Matthew 8:23-27:
Jesus Calms the Storm
23) Then he got into the boat and his disciples followed him. 24) Suddenly a furious storm came up on the lake, so that the waves swept over the boat. But Jesus was sleeping. 25 The disciples went and woke him, saying, “Lord, save us! We’re going to drown!”
26) He replied, “You of little faith, why are you so afraid?” Then he got up and rebuked the winds and the waves, and it was completely calm.
27) The men were amazed and asked, “What kind of man is this? Even the winds and the waves obey him!”
1 Thessalonians 5:54:
The one who calls you is faithful, and he will do it.
