Right On Time

Let me encourage you all as my brothers and sisters in Christ. The day is coming when the sun will once again shine in your life. You’ve experienced many dark nights, but the sun MUST rise again, it’s inevitable. I know the darkness makes it hard for you to see what’s on the horizon, but if you just believe a little while longer, trust me, it’s worth the wait, it’s worth every ounce of your faith. You may feel like you're running behind, but God wants you to know that if you stick beside Him, you’ll be right on time, not too early, not too late, but right on time. No need to rush or slow down, God’s in full control. You serve an on time God, do you believe it?! Don’t concern yourself with the “how?” or the “when?”, just focus on the “Who” behind it all and trust that all things will work together for your good. Don’t lose faith, you’ve come too far to turn back now. Look up to the God above it all and in the blink of an eye, you’ll find that you’ve reached your destination right on time.

Over the past few days I’ve found that I’ve been right on time when arriving at my destinations. For instance, a few days ago without notice I showed up to my grandparents' house at the same time that they had just gotten back from the doctor's office with some popeyes chicken (hot and ready). If I had arrived too early, I would’ve been waiting outside until they arrived, if I had arrived too late I wouldn’t have gotten a fresh batch of chicken, if any at all.

A deeper understanding of God’s perfect timing:

Arrival = Promise fulfilled.

  • To “arrive” and wait on the promise would NOT be an arrival at all.

  • To “arrive” and miss the promise would NOT be an arrival at all.

  • To arrive and connect with the promise IS an arrival.

The meeting or instant connection with the promise is the arrival or promise fulfilled. There’s no “too early” or “too late” with God, if it’s according to His will that you arrive, His only option is for you to be on time. His timing is perfect.

Continued…

I had made a few stops before arriving at my grandparents house right on time. It was as if my movements had already been factored in from the moment I left my home to get to theirs. Clearly, God was behind the wheel the entire time. The message here is to trust that the steps of a good man are truly ordered by the Lord.

What determines a “good man”?

Your relationship with Christ of which results in your obedience and devotion to His will and His way. Obedience is what will keep you in the will, in the will is where your every step is already accounted for.

Extra:

In the past I’ve found myself trying to force God’s will to fit into my ideal timeframe, but truly I was not operating in God’s will at all, but in my own. What I’ve learned is that if you have to force ANYTHING, it is not God’s will. Maybe you’re trying to force something to happen sooner than God has planned for it to occur in your life, or maybe you’re trying to force a plan for your life that God has not assigned to your life. Whenever I feel the need to force or chase something or someone, deep down it is because I know that my connection to it or them are not according to God’s will for my life, therefore, if I let go that just might be the end. So, maybe your reaction is your greatest tell-tale sign whether or not your connection to something or someone is according to God’s will for your life.

Scripture to reflect on:

Psalm 37:23-24

23) The Lord makes firm the steps of the one who delights in him; 24) though he may stumble, he will not fall, for the Lord upholds him with his hand.
