Suit-Up
The purpose of spiritual warfare is to discourage you. The enemy knows he cannot defeat you, so he aims to have you defeat yourself by walking away from God’s destiny for your life due to discouragement. Though in the moment it feels easiest to give up, is it really worth never reaching all that God has for you? This puts me in the mind of the story of Jacob and Esau, Esau returned home famished, so he sold his birthright to his little brother for a bowl of soup that would relieve him at that moment. He disregarded that which was worth WAY more valuable because he had yet to see what was to come of it. I can’t say I don’t get it, because I do, I get you too, it’s exhausting, it feels discouraging, like you’ll never fully arrive, but you know what I think, I think you’re closer than you’ve ever been, and the enemy is scrambling. I encourage you to draw even nearer to God now more than ever. Pray intimately, worship fervently, and renounce every scheme of the enemy, the Lord has given you the authority over the enemy, don’t let the devil fool you into thinking he has the upper hand because that is a lie from the pits of hell. Please, don’t stop fighting, you’re so close. Watch how God uses what the enemy meant for evil to elevate you spiritually, mentally, and physically.
P.S - I said to the Lord today, I know it doesn’t feel great, physically I’m tired, but this too shall pass, and I’m just thankful I’m not going at this alone. More than ever, I know now that we truly are powerless without our Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
Luke 10:18-19
18) He replied, “I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19) I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you.
