The Table Pt.2
See Part 1…
The table is so significant in so many ways. In part 1 I spoke on how we walk away too soon from the will of God for our lives out of disappointment and or confusion, but I want to look at the God given analogy in part 1 from a different angle this time.
The word of God says that not only will there be a table prepared for us, but that same table will be prepared in the presence of our enemies. Meaning, as we eat, they must watch. See, many of us have faced or are currently battling against spiritual/physical enemies. In this entry, I am referring to past or present connections or relationships with individuals who we are not spiritually aligned with. Due to being unequally yoked, you may have experienced either literal physical battles, and or spiritual battles (spiritual warfare) which may have manifested itself as mental health complications, physical health complications, self-rejection (insecurity), demonic dreams, negative thought patterns, backsliding, etc. It’s important that we take our personal experiences to God in prayer, so that He may reveal to us the reason behind such manifestations, especially if your experiences are often. In many cases these symptoms come from being surrounded by enemies of the spirit. I say enemies of the spirit because though you may love them, and they you, if they are not for God, then ultimately they are not for you.
Speaking from experience, as you grow spiritually, while a loved one chooses to do the opposite, when the enemy cannot get to you (due to your devotion), he will most definitely try to use the closest thing to you to do what he cannot, because around the ones we love, oftentimes, we have our guards down. This is why we must be very mindful of our personal relationships as we continue to grow and remain in Christ. You declared war against the enemy the day you chose to live according to God’s will for your life, so now, you have a target on your back. Be watchful. Know this, there is no in-between, one is either for God and His people, or against God and His people. If someone is not being led by the spirit of God, they are being led by something, remember that.
The spiritual warfare that comes with walking with the Lord is another factor that causes many to leave the table too soon, but I came here with part 2 to remind you of who and Whose you are. There is no weapon that is formed against you that will prosper, you WILL triumph over every one of your enemies, and God has plans to prosper you right in front of them. The battle is already won, the victory is yours! Stay at the table, watch how God begins to turn things around in your favor.
Believe it, and receive it, it is already done!
P.S -
As stated in part 1, the removal process is neccessary for both you and the maintance of all that God is bringing into your life. You must leave behind what is fruitless, so that you can walk into the promised land fruitful and ready to multiply.
Scriptures to reflect on:
Psalms 23:5
5) You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies; you anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows.
Mathew 12:30
30) “Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.
Ephesians 6:12
12) For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms.
